ITSA Appoints New Chairman as it Celebrates 10th Anniversary

29 Apr 2025 | Press Releases

Following its 7th Annual General Meeting, held in April 2025 in Cape Town, South Africa – on the occasion of the Tax Stamp & Traceability Forum™ – the International Tax Stamp Association (ITSA) is pleased to announce the appointment of a new chairman, and the re-election of two directors, as it celebrates the 10th anniversary of its founding.

The two re-elected directors are Tim Driscoll of Authentix and Marietta Ulrich-Horn of Securikett, who will now be serving their third term on the board.

In addition, Zbigniew Sagan of Advanced Track & Trace has stepped down as ITSA chairman and Tim McIntyre of Canadian Bank Note has replaced Zbigniew in this role. Zbigniew will, however, continue to serve on the board.

The other members of the board are Yahya Alqahtani of De La Rue, Stefaan D’Hoore, of Luminescence Sun Chemical Security, and Ruggero Milanese of SICPA, bringing the total number of directors to seven.

ITSA would like to take this opportunity to thank Zbigniew for his dedicated and valued service to ITSA as chairman of the board, during the last 18 months, and to extend a warm welcome to Tim as the new chairman.

In all, ITSA has 28 members, with the latest company to join its ranks being Quantum Base. ITSA is, however, urging other organisations to join the association.

Membership is open to legally incorporated companies that supply tax stamp components and features, finished tax stamps, equipment for stamp design, manufacture, application, authentication and quality control, and systems for coding stamps and managing stamp and product data.

ITSA has also created an associate membership category, essentially to allow tax authorities and other government bodies, with an established interest in tax stamps, to work more closely with solution providers to shape the direction of tax stamp specification, deployment and implementation.

Happy 10th birthday, ITSA! (from left: Tim McIntyre, General Secretary Nicola Sudan, Zbigniew Sagan).
