Vacuum-metallisation

A process to create a layer of metal on a substrate. Also referred to as ‘vacuum deposition’. It involves heating the metal target material until it vaporises inside a vacuum chamber. This allows the metal vapour to condensate and form a thin layer over the top of a substrate.
